Dig It 7-12-11 Tinariwen & Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects

For the best answer check out the youtube channel of videos at the top of their website. http://www.tinariwen.com/
It will start with one and once that is done you'll be able to view other ones, music video, documentaries etc and see why the band has gained fans and collaborators from Robert Plan, Carlos Santana and TV on the Radio over the last few years.

See you at the Belly Up tonight. Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects open at 8:00pm.

Gerard and his stack of 8x10s is one of my best and fondest memories
from any 4th and B show. A tragic loss to a great band and some amazing
bandmates.

Some SXSW picks from NPR

I like...
The Afrobeatish party of "Beaver"
The punk of "Off!" (Welcome Back Keith Morris)
The 2009 indie lo-fi is back with "Magic Bullets"
Is it 90s shoe gaze or 80s Manchester that I hear in "Chapel Club"
Apparently post-dub step is already hear with "Mount Kimbie"

Set Phazers to excited. The Next William Shatner album

William Shatner's next album will be spaced themed and will Include
'Rocket Man', Iron Man, Walking on the moon and others. His last album "Has Been" is one of the best albums I heard in the last
few years featuring Ben Folds, Henry Rollins and others.

What little we heard of William Shatner's next album back in February
was enticing enough: It's a covers album with a space theme! There'd be
some "Bohemian Rhapsody"! Some of metal's biggest stars would be
collaborating with him! Well, now that Shatner's website has revealed
the full track listing http://williamshatner.com/Article419.phtml (the
album, Searching for Major Tom, is due out later this year), you can
consider our record bought: Shatner's doing "Rocket Man." Yes, he's
finally laying down a definitive version of the song he covered in
brilliant, super-weird spoken-word fashion back in 1978.
Most-anticipated music video of 2011? Quite possibly!
